Pablo Fallabrino, Notos 2021

Bodega Pablo Fallabrino is a boutique, family-run estate in the Atlántida region of Uruguay, practising minimal-intervention viticulture on calcareous clay soils and hand-harvesting the fruit. Founded by Pablo Fallabrino with deep Italian heritage, the operation reflects a marriage of European winemaking sensibility and South American terroir. A blend of 90% Nebbiolo and 10% Tannat, aged for 6 months in neutral French oak barrels. In the glass: translucent cherry-red hue with aromas of dried rose petals, spice and lifted red berries. On the palate: bright raspberry and black-cherry fruit layered with mandarin peel and subtle cracked pepper, followed by fine tannins and a silky, lingering finish. Medium-bodied, elegant and drinkable now.
